Just a month into the rollout of the new health care program put in place by President Obama, people trying to enroll are facing all kinds of issues. The HealthCare.gov website has a number of glitches where people cannot log on. Cancellation notices being sent to millions of consumers, especially those who have individual policies. Some of the plans don’t meet the requirements of the program.
HELP Chairman, democrat Tom Harkin appealed to people to be calm and patient till the issues are sorted out. He acknowledged that the program has had hiccups and things are being fixed. If the program works as intended, millions of American should have access to better health care. The mission of HealthCare.gov was to be a one stop shop for those with health care access at their work place. The audience for this program is not just uninsured Americans but also middle class individuals who can get better coverage at an affordable price.
