England Makes It To The 2014 World Cup

England confirmed their qualification for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil after a thrilling 2-0 victory over Poland at Wembley Stadium.

Poland, supported by about 20,000 fans, threatened through Robert Lewandowski before captain Steven Gerrardease any concerns of a late twist.

In the England starting lineup, Chris Smalling replaced the suspended Kyle Walker, while Michael Carrock was chosen over Frank Lampard in the midfield.

Fully deserved celebration

England coach Rod Hodgson raced from his technical spot in delight to celebrate with his team.

England may not be among the favorites in Brazil, but if Hodgson can build on the optimism of these final games, they can at least travel withhope.

They relied mostly on two of their veteran players in goalscorersGerrard and Rooney. Once again, Andros Townsend looked perfect for international football game.
